Tummy Time

Our good friend Ehren returned home from Afghanistan last week and we went to the airport to see him...Hailey slept through his homecoming but what else is new!

More tummy time...Hailey is getting so much stronger. She can hold up her head for quite awhile when I carry her, and now she can turn her head back and forth during tummy time.

Week 3

Hailey in one of her chairs...doesn't she look so tiny? Last Friday she had her ten day doctor's appointment and she gained almost a pound since she was born and grew over 1/4 inch! My brother says that I must have steroids in my breast milk (o: I can't believe how much she has changed since she was born...
Hailey in her other bouncy chair...she can sleep anywhere and fortunately doesn't wake up when I clean the house or listen to music on the radio!

Grandma and Grandpa Meier came to visit! Grandma stayed with us for almost a week and had a great time playing with little Hailey and helping mom and dad around the house (o:

2 Weeks Old

Hailey doing her "tummy time"! Jay and I think she is going to be an athlete when she gets older...she has such amazing strength already and She is definitely going to be an athlete...she is constantly trying to lift her head and has added "wiggle worm" to the long list of affectionate nicknames (o:

Hailey's first bath

Tuesday afternoon Hailey's umbilical cord fell off so Jay and I decided it was time for her first bath! I was surprised by how much she liked the water.
She didn't start crying until we washed her hair...it was a quick bath and we were thankful that she didn't pee on us!
Here is a picture of our little poser...she likes to roll onto her side when she sleeps if she isn't completely sprawled out with her arms and legs stretched out wide.
Hailey isn't a big fan of being swaddled like a burrito! She usually kicks off her covers and stretches out like she did in this picture (o:

Hailey spent most of her first days sleeping, but lately she has become so alert! It's amazing how much she has changed just in the last week. She is starting to smile and loves having her feet played with (o:

Frankers loves his sister and is so good with her! He doesn't like hearing her cry and is always trying to figure out how to help...he's taking the transition to having a baby in the house much better than I expected, but I can still tell he feels a little left out...
Auntie Lindsay, Eli and Lindsay's mom Carolyn came to visit on Sunday...can you tell Lindsay is ready for another?? (o:
This was our first attempt at getting Hailey ready for her first walk. Unfortunately there was a storm moving in so we didn't go...she isn't a big fan of being wrapped up like a burrito. She has so many nicknames, and one of them is our little wiggle worm because she prefers to stretch out her arms and legs.
