A few Christmas pictures

This is Hailey's first picture with Santa Clause. She is a little ham! It was a miracle that she didn't grab his beard and put it in her mouth (o:
We went to the 58 Special Operations Wing (where I used to work) Children's Christmas party a few weeks ago. Hailey sat in the pilot's seat like she did so many times before she was born. We had a great time and had the opportunity to visit with friends that I hadn't seen since I separated in September.
Here is Hailey chillin in front of the TV...our new favorite movie is "The Planet Earth" which she absolutely loves.
Hailey received an early Christmas present from Nana and Papa...a practical gift that we love! This high chair is perfect and she gets to sit with us for dinner.

Melee Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas)

It was Christmas a little early today in the Meier household. For Christmas, Jay and I asked for a new car seat for Hailey Bear and this is the one we picked...how fitting that Melee Kalikimaka was on the radio while Hailey was trying out her new digs. She still fits in her other car seat but before you know it she's going to be in this one...I love it! Thanks mom and dad!
Here is Frankers getting in on the action...he didn't want to feel left out (o:

Hailey's 4 month check-up

Well it's been awhile since I've updated the blog. Jay has been TDY a lot lately and is actually on his 4th trip to Europe this year. Hailey is growing so fast...I keep telling her to stop growing but she doesn't listen! Today she had her 4 month checkup and she is 26 1/2 inches long (over 95 percentile for her age) and 15 lbs even (75th percentile). She received her second dose of shots today and isn't feeling all that great, but what a trooper.
We want to give a shout out to my little sister who turned the big 21 today! I can't believe my little sister is not only legal (although she would say "It's about time!")...but she is a senior in college and is going to graduate in May. Where does the time go?? Happy Birthday sissy! We love you!

A Meier Thanksgiving

We drove to Colorado for Thanksgiving and while we were there we went to visit the Bishops! It was so awesome seeing Ben, Joy and all of the kids! Joy just gave birth to little Elisa (who I'm holding) only 5 weeks ago (doesn't she look great!) and her oldest daughter Caroline loved playing with Hailey while we were there. Ben and Joy lived across the street from us in Minot and when we met them, they only had their oldest son Caleb.
Papa and Hailey in her helicopter pajamas.

The day after Thanksgiving we went to the CU (University of Colorado at Boulder where my sister is a senior) football game. They were playing their rival, the Nebraska Corn huskers. My brother was born in Nebraska and is a huge fan...he made a bet with my sister and the loser had to download the winning team's fight song on their phone as the ringer for a month. CU beat Nebraska and it was a good game! Nebraska fans have an interesting dynamic...a guy that my mom was talking to thanked her for being so nice...he told her that she was the first CU fan that hadn't pee'd on him! I think the quote of the day came from a CU fan's t-shirt...it was "Nebraska, about as cool as a fanny pack!" (ha ha ha)
Final score...CU:65 Nebraska: 51It was chilly at the game so Hailey Bear was bundled up...technically it was a bear outfit, but my sister is convinced she was dressed as Buffalo (CU Buffs).

Hailey's new favorites

Hailey Bear loves her new jumper...she loves to jump for about 10 or 15 minutes and then she wants to move on to something new (o:

Presenting...MAJOR MEIER!

Well Friends, today is a big day! Jay pinned on Major and although we couldn't be together to celebrate (he is in Italy right now) Hailey, Frankers and I are so proud of him! I remember when Jay and I were at the Air Force Academy, we used to think that Majors back then were old...well today I guess Jay is officially an old man (side note: I used to think turning 30 meant you were old too...now that I'm almost there I've definitely changed my mind...and besides, they say that your 30's are the new 20's these days!)! So here is to our old man, Major James Kent Meier!

Hailey's 1st Halloween

Check out Hailey's 1st Halloween costume! She went as Nemo and had a great time (o: We went to a harvest festival with some friends which had bouncy castles and pony rides...Hailey obviously wasn't big enough to participate but she had a lot of fun checking out all of the little kiddos and their costumes!

Hailey and her Bumbo

I took this picture yesterday and had to share with you how fast Hailey is growing. She only likes to sit in her Bumbo for about 1o minutes at a time, but she has so much fun (o: Jay is TDY right now and checks the blog to keep up with how big his little girl is getting so I'm hoping to keep up with pictures of our precious angel. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Wisconsin Wedding

On October 19th my cousin Barb married her high school sweetheart Efrain. They have been dating for over 10 years so you can imagine there was a big party to celebrate! Our entire family flew to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and had an awesome time visiting with everyone. This was the first time since our wedding in 2000 that my entire family (to include all my aunts, uncles, cousins and their kiddos) were in one place together. Hailey and I stayed a few extra days after the wedding to visit with my Grandma and Grandpa. Jay had to leave right after our family picture the day after the wedding and is in Europe for 3 weeks.
I love this picture...my sister Julie was walking with her boyfriend Bryce and my nephew Damian wanted to hold Bryce's hand.
My cousin Barb...doesn't she make a beautiful bride?!
Amy, Julie and little Hailey...can you tell her sweater was a little big (o:

Wedding Reception

Ariel looking cute as always!
My brother Aaron is absolutely in love with our little girl! I have a ton of pictures just like this one (o:

Hailey's Halloween Costume

The day after the wedding we took a family picture at Grandma's house. Imagine 34 people (to include 6 kids under the age of 4) trying to take a single family portrait...after the big family pictures, all the kids put their Halloween costumes on. Our family did a "Finding Nemo" theme...Damian (my nephew) was Bruce the Shark, Ariel (my niece) was Squirt and Hailey Bear was Nemo (o:

Ariel wasn't excited to take a picture but doesn't she look cute??
Hailey was so enthralled by the color of her costume, she was looking down for most of her pictures. Damian loves his little cousin and always tells me how pretty Hailey is...

Post Wedding Party

Tia Gaby and Hailey ( I love this picture!)
Jay is holding my cousin Matt's daughter Ava and this is Dina (Matt's wife) holding our beautiful Hailey. Ava is 7 months old and Hailey just turned 3 months old a few days ago.

Hailey meets more grandparents (o:

Hailey is being held by my Great Grandma on my dad's side of the family (aka Cookie Grandma) making her Hailey's great-great grandma. The other two beautiful ladies are my Aunt Diane and Aunt Carol (my Grandma's sisters). We were blessed to see them while we were in Wisconsin and enjoyed a fantastic dinner and evening of fellowship.
Hailey and Great Grandpa Birmingham (o: My grandparents fell in love with Hailey (who could blame them!).

Some cute pictures!

Hailey Grace is growing so fast! I love this picture of her smiling (o:
Hailey hanging out with an oversized Minnie Mouse. Minnie is giving a thumbs up (o:
Frank chillin on his chair. He's transitioning to life with a baby sister very well...still a freak about his ball.
Hailey is moving around so much these days. I put her down in her crib straight, but she decided that she would rather wiggle her way sideways. Isn't she adorable?! This picture shows how long she is getting! She is in 3-6 months clothes but she is already outgrowing her pajamas because of the length.

Arizona here we come!

Hailey and I just returned from our trip to Mesa, Arizona. My brother Aaron is a San Francisco police officer and played baseball in the Cop Olympics in Arizona last week. Hailey and I drove to Arizona to spend some time with him, my sister-in-law Gaby (who is also a SF police officer), my 3 year old nephew Damian and my 2 year old niece Ariel (aka Nani). We had so much fun! While we were there, we visited the Arizona Wing Commemorative Museum where they had a WW II B-17. We had a chance to walk through the B-17 and see how small of a space 1o Airmen had to fit each time they flew. The museum had so many other airplanes and awesome displays. Aaron's team did awesome and won a "silver" medal!
Amy and Damian next to the B-17.
I thought this display of the American flag was absolutely breath taking!
Nani and Damian loved to kiss Hailey during the entire trip. Damian would always tell me, "Amy, your baby is so pretty." It looks like Hailey has a full diaper in this picture (o:
Here are the cuties with their Hawaiian outfits. While we were packing up the cars, they were jumping around singing "Party like a rock star!"
