Hailey Bear is walking...that's right! She is only 10 months old and is walking...is our child brilliant or what?! Here are a few videos for your amusement...this first video was taken on June 13th, and the second on June 17th. You can see how quickly she has become steady on her feet and as of today (June 29th), she can almost run!

Vacation Bible School
A few weeks ago our church did a week of Vacation Bible School for kids pre-K through 5th grade. I volunteered to be part of the musical ministry and had the awesome privilege of singing for over 100 kids that participated in our week long program. The theme this year was "Water Works" and each day had a different story from the bible that revolved around water. Everyone had a blast singing bible songs to remakes such as "Wipe Out" (o:
We had a big "show" on Friday night so all of the kids could show their parents the songs they had learned throughout the week. I felt like I was in show choir again (Jenny you would be so proud!).During the Friday evening show, Hailey had so much fun dancing to the music and playing with all of her "older" friends. She was a big hit! Isn't she absolutely adorable?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

some cute pics of HG
I found this head band for Hailey and it makes her look like an '80's wannabe dancer...I started singing "I'm a maniac...maniac...on the flooooor" to her, but she just laughed at me! I love her pink camo outfit that her Aunt Gaby and Uncle Aaron sent her (o:
Isn't she sooooooooo cute!
Hailey wearing her San Francisco Giants hat! She's up to about 5 or 6 steps at a time and I don't think it will take her long until she is walking all over the place!Hailey's 1st baseball game
Yesterday (Tuesday) we went to an Albuquerque Isotope's baseball game. The Isotopes are the local AAA Farm Team and it was so much fun! We went with a bunch of people from Jay's work and fortunately had awesome seats in the shade. Hailey had a great time at the game!
Up close and personal family shot at the ball game!
Bear had a kiddo cookie that created such a mess, that the lady behind us told Jay that he needed a bib too.Hailey's 1st swim lesson
Hailey Grace started her very first swim class this week! It's off erred by the city of Albuquerque and it runs Monday thru Thursday for two weeks. This was our perfect opportunity to get Hailey used to large amounts of water before we head off to El Salvador in a couple of weeks!
Jay took her in the pool and she didn't quite know what to expect. Unfortunately, the water was cold and she was pretty much miserable the entire lesson.
And this was the last picture we took before we took her out early...her feet were blue and her teeth were chattering. Fortunately, the next day's lesson went MUCH better and the pool was a lot warmer! She just learned how to put her head under water and we are trying to teach her how to blow bubbles. I can't believe my little girl is getting so big!Hailey's 1st camping trip
We went camping this past weekend with our dear friends Simon and Felisa (and their puppies Jack and Mia). This was Hailey's first camping trip and I think she really liked it! It was hot during the day and pretty chilly at night, but Hailey played in the grass and loved going on a hike!
Mommy and Hailey hanging out by the campfire!
Our friends Simon and Felisa making smores.
We found this beautiful clearing off of a dirt road and it had an awesome fire pit. A perfect place to set up camp!
The morning was cold and we bundled Hailey Grace up to keep her warm! Overall a great first camping trip! It was only one night which was perfect.Wednesday, May 28, 2008
Happy 10 month birthday Hailey!
Hailey turned 10 months old on the 24th and I just wanted to give you an update on how my little princess is growing!
She is almost walking (I think I've been saying that for months now (o: ); for the past week she has been taking 2, 3 and sometimes 4 steps all by herself!
Hailey is feeding herself most of the time as seen in the picture...her favorite food right now is still tofu (uugh!) and cantaloupe.
She is learning how to share with other kiddos and we just went to our first gymnastics class last week. She had a blast!
Hailey bear still takes a really long nap in the morning and none in the afternoon. Last night she slept 13 hours so Jay and I can't complain!
Hailey is such a happy baby...she smiles from the moment you get her out of her crib until the moment she realizes that she's exhausted or starving.
Happy baby...
Still happy...
Not so happy )o:
